This notice explains how Finteda handles personal information when you use finteda.com, register for or attend a Finteda event, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, or appear in our event content.

This notice covers the Finteda marketing site and the public Eventify pages used for Finteda event registration, attendance, and communications. A co-host or venue may also be a controller for information it receives for its own event responsibilities; the relevant organisations are identified on the event page.
Information we collect
When you visit the site
Our hosting and content-delivery providers process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referrer, and request time to deliver and secure the site.
We use Fathom Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. Fathom is designed to provide cookie-free, privacy-focused analytics without building advertising profiles. It processes information such as page URL, referrer, device type, and approximate country to produce aggregated reports.
Images and brand assets may be delivered through Supabase Storage or Brandfetch’s content-delivery network. Those providers receive the technical request information needed to return the asset.
When you contact us
The contact form collects your name, work email, company, enquiry topic, and message. We use this information to answer you, route the enquiry, and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. Contact form messages are delivered through Eventify and our email provider.
When you register for an event
We collect your name and work email, plus any company, role, mobile number, panel question, referral information, or preferences you choose to provide. We also record registration status, event communications, check-in or attendance status, and actions such as cancellation.
The event page may remember your name, email, company, and role in your own browser for up to 60 days so that you can prefill a later registration. This local record is not submitted until you register. You can remove it using the “Not you?” control or by clearing site data in your browser.
If you choose “Show me on the public guest list”, your name, role, and firm may appear on the event page. If you choose the newsletter option, we add you to the newsletter under the separate consent described below. Neither option is required to register.
When you subscribe
We collect your name and email and, if you provide them, company, title, and LinkedIn URL. We also record the source and time of the request, confirmation and unsubscribe status, and limited browser metadata used to document the signup. We use double opt-in for website subscriptions: marketing email starts only after the address owner confirms the request.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email; we may retain the minimum suppression record needed to honour that choice.
Speakers, hosts, partners, and event content
We may publish professional information such as a person’s name, role, employer, biography, profile photograph, LinkedIn URL, session contribution, quotation, recording, or event photograph. We receive this information from the person, an event co-host, their organisation, or a public professional source. We use it to produce the event, credit contributors, and maintain an accurate public record. Please contact us if information needs correction or removal.
Why we use this information
We rely on the following legal bases, depending on the purpose:
- Contract and steps at your request: to register you, manage a seat or waitlist, deliver event information, and respond where your enquiry concerns a proposed service or partnership.
- Consent: for newsletters, optional public guest-list visibility, and any other use where we ask for a genuine choice. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to answer enquiries, operate and improve events, keep the site secure, measure aggregate site use, maintain our professional community and event archive, and prevent misuse. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Legal obligations and legal claims: where we must keep or disclose information under law, or need it to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for third-party behavioural advertising, and we do not make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who receives information
We use a limited set of service providers and event collaborators:
- Netlify hosts and delivers the marketing website.
- Vercel hosts Eventify and its public registration services.
- Supabase provides the Eventify database and storage used for registration records and event assets.
- Resend delivers contact, confirmation, operational, and newsletter email.
- Fathom Analytics provides privacy-focused aggregate website analytics.
- Brandfetch and content-delivery providers deliver selected company logos and other public assets.
- Authorised event co-hosts may receive or access registration information when needed to operate their event. Access to contact details is limited by assigned permissions.
- Venues and security teams may receive the minimum attendee information required for building access, where the event details state that a security list is needed.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties may receive information where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, claims, or a business transaction.
Providers process information under their own privacy terms and, where they act for us, under contractual data-protection obligations.
International transfers
Some providers operate in the UK, European Economic Area, United States, and other countries. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we use an applicable adequacy regulation or recognised contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses. You may contact us for more information about the safeguard relevant to a particular transfer.
Retention
We keep personal information only while it remains necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:
- Enquiries are kept while we respond and for reasonable follow-up, then deleted or anonymised unless a relationship, contract, or legal issue requires a longer record.
- Registration and attendance records are kept while we operate and follow up the event and maintain a proportionate historical record of the community. Optional operational details, such as mobile numbers, are not used for unrelated purposes.
- Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe or the list closes; a minimal suppression record may remain so that we do not add an unsubscribed address again by mistake.
- Public speaker, partner, recap, and event records remain available while they form a relevant professional and historical record, subject to correction, objection, and removal requests.
- Security logs and analytics are retained under the relevant provider settings for operational, security, and aggregate reporting needs.
We may keep information longer where law, fraud prevention, accounting, or a legal claim requires it. We periodically review records against these criteria.
Cookies and similar storage
The marketing site does not use advertising cookies. Fathom Analytics operates without cookies. Event registration may use your browser’s local storage for the optional 60-day prefill described above. Essential storage may also be used where required to provide a service you request or protect the site.
Links to third-party sites, such as LinkedIn, calendar providers, maps, or a partner website, take you to a service governed by that provider’s privacy notice.
Your rights
Subject to the law and the legal basis involved, you may ask us to:
- provide a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- erase information;
- restrict or object to processing;
- provide portable information you supplied to us; or
- stop processing based on consent by withdrawing that consent.
You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or email events@finteda.com. To exercise another right, contact the same address. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or to the data-protection authority where you live or work.
Children
Finteda events and services are intended for professionals and are not directed at children. Please do not submit personal information if you are under 18.
Changes to this notice
We review this notice when our services or data uses change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. We will draw attention to material changes where appropriate.
