Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use finteda.com or a public Eventify page operated by Finteda, including when you register for a Finteda event. Please read the sections that are relevant to you.

Who we are

Finteda Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales.

71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden
London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ
Company number: 17041408
Email: events@finteda.com

In these terms, “Finteda”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Finteda Ltd. An event page may identify a co-host, venue, or other organiser with separate responsibilities.

Using the website

You may use the website for lawful personal and professional purposes, including learning about our community, reading event material, and applying to attend, speak, host, sponsor, or collaborate.

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person;
  • interfere with the website’s operation or security;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, data, or systems;
  • submit information you know is false or misleading;
  • impersonate another person or organisation; or
  • use automated access in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service or extracts protected content at scale.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, events, the website, or our legal rights.

Information, not advice

Website and event content is provided for general information and professional discussion. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice, and it is not an offer or recommendation to buy or sell a financial product.

Speakers, contributors, and attendees express their own views. Their participation does not mean that Finteda endorses those views, their employer, or any product or service discussed. You should make your own assessment and obtain appropriate advice before acting on information from the website or an event.

We take reasonable care when publishing information, but event content may be incomplete, simplified, or become out of date. We do not promise that all website content will always be accurate, available, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Event registration

When you register or request a seat:

  • provide accurate, current information and use an email address you can access;
  • a submitted form is a request, not a guaranteed place, unless we send a confirmation;
  • an event may use approval, invitation, capacity, or waitlist criteria stated on its page;
  • your registration is for you and should not be transferred without the organisers’ agreement; and
  • you must follow reasonable venue, security, health and safety, and conduct instructions.

Some venues require identification or an attendee list for entry. The event page or confirmation message will explain any material entry requirement we know about. Please tell us promptly if you can no longer attend so that we can release the place.

We want events to support candid, respectful professional exchange. We may refuse entry or ask someone to leave for harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, deliberate disruption, material misrepresentation, or a serious breach of venue or organiser rules.

Changes and cancellations

Event programmes depend on speakers, venues, partners, and circumstances outside our control. We may make reasonable changes to timing, format, venue, speakers, or agenda. If a change is material, or an event is postponed or cancelled, we will use the registration contact details to notify registered attendees as soon as reasonably practical.

Many Finteda events are free to attend. Where an event has a paid ticket, the total price and any event-specific cancellation or refund terms will be shown before purchase. Nothing in these terms limits a refund or other remedy required by law.

Sponsorships and other paid services

Sponsorships, partnerships, memberships, consultancy, event production, and other paid business services are governed by a separate written agreement for that engagement, such as a proposal, order form, or statement of work. These website terms do not replace or override that agreement.

Photography and recordings

An event may be photographed, filmed, streamed, or recorded where this is stated on the event page, in attendee communications, or by clear notice at the venue. Images and recordings may be used to report on the event, credit contributors, and communicate future Finteda activity.

We will provide a reasonable way to raise a concern with the event team. Tell a member of staff at the event or email events@finteda.com if you have a concern about appearing in identifiable event material. Speakers and featured contributors may also have separate release or participation arrangements.

Content you provide

If you send us a question, message, feedback, profile, photograph, presentation, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that our intended use will not infringe another person’s rights.

You keep ownership of your material. You give us permission to use it only as reasonably needed to respond, operate the relevant event or service, publish an agreed contribution, and maintain an accurate event record. Any broader promotional, recording, or commercial use may be covered by a separate agreement or consent.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, Finteda owns or licenses the website design, copy, graphics, software, and Finteda branding. Speakers, partners, and other contributors retain rights in their own names, brands, presentations, and materials.

You may view the website, link to public pages, and share short extracts with appropriate credit for personal or ordinary professional use. You may not reproduce, sell, rebrand, or systematically extract substantial website content without permission or another lawful basis.

The website may link to venues, co-hosts, registration providers, maps, calendars, social networks, or other third-party services. They operate under their own terms and privacy notices. A link does not by itself mean that we control or endorse the third party, and we are not responsible for a third-party service’s availability or content.

Availability and liability

We use reasonable care in operating the website and events. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that every feature will always be available, or that an event will produce a particular business or professional outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you used the website or registered, or for business losses arising from free website or event use. If you use the website as a consumer, these terms do not affect rights and remedies that the law gives you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information for the website, event registration, attendance, and communications. An event co-host or venue may also provide its own privacy information where it handles attendee information for its responsibilities.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website, event model, or law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Changes apply from publication and do not retrospectively replace a separate agreement or remove a right you already have.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that a consumer may retain any mandatory rights to use the courts and laws of the country where they live.
