Dr Robert Smith is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Logos Research. He spent 21 years at Citi, latterly as Managing Director and Global Head of Automated Trading and Data Science for Global Credit Markets, where he built the automated pricing and trading systems used by institutional and retail clients in corporate bonds and credit derivatives, alongside tools for client profiling and trading assistance. His teams applied stochastic filtering, machine learning and large-scale back-testing to understand and control the behaviour of path-dependent trading systems. He was subsequently Chief Technology Officer at Socius Technologies. He holds a DPhil in Engineering Science (Robotics) from the University of Oxford and an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
