Dr Samar Gad is Associate Professor in Finance at Kingston Business School, Kingston University. Her research focuses on emerging market finance, in particular dynamic portfolio optimisation and spillover risk in financial systems. She has published in leading international finance journals. She teaches corporate finance, alternative investments and start-up fundraising. Her teaching spans undergraduate, MBA and executive education programmes. She also advises organisations on feasibility studies and business cases, and trains them on the strategic use of artificial intelligence in finance. She was a finalist for the PQ Magazine Lecturer of the Year Award and speaks regularly at financial industry conferences.
